Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 April 2026

We treat resident health and personal information with the same care we treat residents themselves. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is protected.

1. Who is the data fiduciary?

Darshan Heritage Living, located at Thirukampuliyur, Mayanur — Karur, Tamil Nadu, is the data fiduciary responsible for personal data collected through this website, our enquiry forms, trial stays and resident onboarding processes, in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

2. What we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, age, phone, email, postal address, the named family contact and emergency contacts.
  • Health & wellness: the wellness assessment captured during onboarding, Vaidya consultation notes, prescribed medications, daily vital readings and follow-up records — strictly for the purpose of resident care.
  • Financial: billing details, payment references and bank account details required for caution deposit refunds.
  • Website analytics: page views, lead source, device type and referring page. No third-party advertising trackers are used.

3. Why we collect it

  • To deliver the wellness programme and integrated care described on the site.
  • To respond to enquiries and arrange trial stays.
  • To bill residents and process caution-deposit refunds.
  • To meet statutory and tax obligations.
  • To send service-related communication (booking confirmations, invoices, on-campus updates). We do not send marketing emails without explicit opt-in.

4. Lawful basis

We process personal data based on (a) the resident's consent captured at onboarding, (b) the performance of the resident agreement and (c) where applicable, our legitimate interest in operating the campus safely.

5. Sharing & disclosure

We share information only with (i) the on-campus medical team and our visiting consultants for the purpose of resident care, (ii) partner hospitals during referrals or emergencies, (iii) our auditors, bankers and tax advisors strictly on a need-to-know basis, and (iv) law enforcement when legally required. We do not sell personal or health data to any third party.

6. Security

Health records are stored on access-controlled systems. Website data sits on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Physical health records are stored under lock and key in the medical office. Staff handling resident data sign confidentiality undertakings as a condition of employment.

7. Retention

We retain resident records for the duration of the residency and for seven (7) years thereafter, in line with statutory accounting and medical-record norms. Website enquiry records that do not progress to a residency are retained for twenty-four (24) months and then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act

You have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure (subject to statutory retention), withdraw consent for non-essential processing and to nominate a representative to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to contact@darshanheritage.com from the registered email address to exercise any of these rights. We respond within thirty (30) days.

9. Cookies

We use only first-party cookies and similar storage to remember your form progress, attribute lead sources and operate the website. We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

10. Children

The services are intended for adults aged 55 and above. We do not knowingly collect data of children under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the programme evolves. Material changes will be communicated to residents in writing and on this page.
